Welcome to 2012, we trust our members and their families have had a restful break.

Your local Committee has been working together over the last month to develop a diverse and exciting range of Professional Development opportunities for our members, please check our calendar for full details.

The SSSI Tasmania Annual Conference will be held at Wrest Point Convention Centre on Friday & Saturday September 21 & 22. The Tasmanian Spatial Excellence Awards will be presented at the Conference Dinner on Friday September 21. Nominations will be open in the individual and project categories soon, please keep these awards in mind for colleagues who have made exemplary contributions to the profession and as a way to showcase projects your business is involved in.

Surveying and Spatial Sciences at the University of Tasmania - 40th�Anniversary

This year the University of Tasmania is celebrating 40 years of tertiary education in Surveying and Spatial Sciences.

�

To commemorate this occasion the Surveying and Spatial Sciences Group will be hosting two events:

A�Lunch and Seminar�at the Hobart Campus of the University on the afternoon of Friday May 4^th�- we would like to warmly invite all members of the profession to attend this event, details will be advertised shortly.
A�Reunion Dinner�for UTAS Surveying and Spatial Science Alumni (and TCAE graduates) will be held on the evening of Friday May 4^th�– for this event we would like to invite as many Alumni as possible. If you are a graduate of UTASTCAE could you please forward an up-to-date contact email andor postal address to Rachael.Hurd@utas.edu.au so that we can update our records and keep you informed of the details for this event.
