Following the success of last years MapMyTown project in Bell, Queensland we are excited to present the Surveying and Spatial Industry with the opportunity to participate once again in this great project!
This time we are travelling to Mundubbera, Queensland (3 hours west of Bundaberg), located in the North Burnett Shire area, on Saturday 22 October 2011.
Teams will utilise as many spatial resources as possible to build plan and model of the town of Mundubbera. All Surveying and Spatial disciplines are welcome to attend.
This year we are pleased to once again have the support of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources Management (DERM) who will run many of the workshops.
One of the great aspects of this project is individuals are able to implement theories and knowledge in a practical setting whilst simultaneously gaining advice from industry leaders.
The newly appointed Education Advocate from the Surveyors Board Queensland as well as other Board Members will be present, they are looking forward to the opportunity to meet with attendees in an informal setting.
MapMyTown is a free event, your time and efforts are much appreciated! Click here to register online now! We are hosting a BBQ at the local Bowls club on the Saturday evening and there is a cost associated with this.
