SSSIQ is excited to have been given the opportunity to participate in the Critical Skills Investment Fund (CSIF), and has been awarded a $5.3 million grant from the Federal Government to upskill our workforce with Certificates III and IV in Surveying and Spatial Infomation. We have recently announced Round Two and are looking for employers who are interested in participating. This is a great opportunity for our industry, and will provide individuals with methods to progress their skills and develop further!

SSSIQ has begun preparations for our biennial Queensland Surveying and Spatial Conference 2012. We have established a Program Panel and Conference Committee, two groups of industry leaders who have already explored many exciting opportunities for our next QSSC. Dates to put into your diary are 13 & 14 September 2012! The 2012 QSSC will be held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre at Southbank, Brisbane and will be held in conjuction with the 2012 Queensland Spatial Excellence Awards.
