We are set to present the benefits of a career in surveying and spatial information to an estimated 8000 students who will attend this year’s event at the Australian Institute of Sport on Wednesday 3rd and Thursday 4th of August. A number of members have volunteered to assist; however if you would like to come along and talk to our next generation of SSSI members then we look forward to seeing you there.
The Women in Spatial Breakfast will be held on Thursday, 01 September 2011 from 7:30am-9:00am. The WIS breakfast theme is "The Challenge of Change". Our speakers, Gary Nairn, Gail Kelly, Alla Metlenko and Veronika Frank, will be speaking to this topic and imparting their experiences and wisdom! Registration is open to all. Places will be strictly limited. Venue to be confirmed.
This year’s October CPD event will dovetail with the SSSI AGM and an optional dinner on Thursday 27th and parallel CPD events on Friday 28th. One will focus on the needs of our surveyor members and the other on the spatial information and remote sensing fraternity. We are still gathering ideas for presentations so please contact Greg Ledwidge at [email protected]. Meanwhile put the dates in your diary.
We look forward to seeing you at our next event or hearing from you with your ideas as to how we can service our membership and the spatial community in the ACT.
