The Australasian Hydrographic Society (AHS) provides a forum for the regional focus of hydrography and related sciences in South East Asia, the South West Pacific and beyond.
To further the Society’s key objective to promote hydrography and related sciences throughout the wider community the AHS instigated an Awards Scheme in 2003. To date the scheme has been very successful as it recognizes outstanding contributions from individuals and organizations in fourteen different categories including; Career, Scientific & Technological, Industry, Corporate, Environmental, Maritime Safety, Information Management, Literary & Media, Exhibition and Service (to the Australasian Hydrographic Society) etc.
The AHS is now calling for nominations for those who have contributed to the industry in 2010 / 2011. For more information, please download the current policy and nomination form .
While open all year round, the closing date for this years nominations is 30th April 2011, with awards to be announced as best as possible with World Hydrography Day and at the International Federation of Hydrographic Societies HYDRO2011 conference to be held in Fremantle, Western Australia on the 8th-10th November, 2011.
