Welcome to SSSI Queensland  

 

SSSI Queensland Region is dedicated to providing our Members with a range of opportunities to maintain their knowledge and skills via a full program of Continuing Professional Development, Young Professional activities, and communications media.

 

The Queensland Region is organised into three main geographical regions – Southern, Central and Northern Groups, with meetings and conferences organised by local groups.

 

To ensure you get the best out of your membership, you are invited to participate in our conferences, committees, or your chosen Commission. Throughout the year we provide a number of opportunities for you to enhance your professional skills by presenting a paper, chairing a meeting or participating in a forum.  

 

The Queensland Regional Committee meets monthly and welcomes your suggestions to improve services to members.   

 

SSSIQ is committed to keeping our members informed about our current activities. The national GeoMessage contains all of our region's information, including upcoming events. Spatial Science Queensland is the regional magazine published in pdf and circulated 5 times per year. In addition to these, we also publish regular email annoucements.
