Andrej has been involved in the Surveying Industry since 1979 when he undertook a Certificate of Technology in Surveying at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT).? Treasurer – Werner Hennecke

Werner Hennecke joined SSSI as the Treasurer for Victoria in September 2014. Werner has more than 15 years experience in the application of GIS in a range of applications, predominantly in in the coastal environment. Werner holds a Master of Science in Physical (coastal) Geography from the Christian-Albrecht University, Kiel (Germany) and a PhD from the University of Sydney. He has worked as a GIS Lecturer in New South Wales and Tasmania, in the Victorian State Government and is currently working as a GIS consultant for Cardno in Melbourne.

Matt Duckham is an Associate Professor in Geographic Information Science at the University of Melbourne, Australia, and works in the Geomatics research group in the Department of Infrastructure Engineering. He also holds an ARC Future Fellowship (2010-2014) for research on the topic of ambient spatial intelligence (AmSI). Before coming to Melbourne in 2004, he worked at the NCGIA (National Center for Geographic Information and Analysis) at the University of Maine, US.
