You will find the answer to common questions relating to the SSSI CPD Program below:
What if I haven’t met the CPD requirements throughout the year?
Whilst SSSI has a number of exemptions to the CPD Program, if you haven’t reached your points for the year then we are happy to work with you to investigate ways in which this can be achieved. Contact National CPD Coordinator,
Nick Row for any enquiries.
Why is CPD required?
Continuing Professional Development ensures currency of skills and knowledge. SSSI embraces lifelong learning and sees continuing professional development as an integral aspect of maintaining and enhancing professional skills and knowledge in the spatial and wider community.
How do I record points?
SSSI provides an online management system to all members. This is currenty under development. SSSI events appear automatically on the records and other activities undertaken can be entered in at your leisure.
What can I get points for?
We recognise all types of activities and realise that each individual has different continuing professional development needs. For this reason, as long as individuals are able to demonstrate how the activity furthers their spatial knowledge and skills we are happy to allocate points.
What is eCPD?
eCPD provides online viewing of various CPD workshops, seminars and presentations. Webinars, podcasts and online streaming of events from across various regions of SSSI are available.
