Board

The following SSSI Board members have been elected for the 2011 period. The SSSI Board is responsible for the governance, strategic planning, fiduciary oversight and monitoring against the SSSI Strategic Plan.

 

Members of the SSSI Board of Directors are President; the immediate Past President; the President-Elect, appointed from and by the Consultative Council; the Treasurer, selected by the Consultative Council following nominations from general membership; and four members elected from and by the Consultative Council, at least one of which must be a member of the Young Professionals Group and one in a director or managerial position in private practice.

Gary is a GISP-AP and has worked in the spatial industry for over 25 years. This experience includes participation in major State Government projects and teaching GIS at the University of SA. Gypsy Bhalla – Past President

Jonathan Saxon is the Managing Director of Clement & Reid trading as Project Surveyors. Jonathan is a Registered Land Surveyor in NSW since 1993, and holds a Bachelor of Surveying Degree from UNSW (1988). Renee Bartolo – Director

Renee has worked in the spatial profession for the past 13 years. She is currently a Spatial Scientist with the Department of Sustainability, Environment, Water, Populations and Communities' Supervising Scientist Division. As a spatial scientist, Renee has done time in the lowland swamps of southern New Guinea and the wetlands of the Top End. John Minehan – Director

John Minehan commenced his surveying career in January 1963 as a trainee survey draftsman. John Trinder – Director

John Trinder graduated from UNSW with a BSurv (1963), MSc (1965) at ITC in The Netherlands, and PhD from UNSW (1972).  He was employed at the School of Surveying and SIS at University of NSW from 1965 to 1999, progressing to the position of Professor in 1991 and Head of School from 1990-1999.  He is currently Emeritus Professor in that School.
