Interest Groups

SSSI's Special Interest Groups may be based on a specific grouping of members or on a specific topic or subject. A committee may be established for any special interest group, either at an Institute level, a regional, or a sub-regional level.

A representative from any special interest group may be invited by the Directors to participate at any meeting, Committee, Council or Board of the Institute, at Institute, regional or sub-regional level.

A group of members within the Institute, called the Young Professionals, are 35 years of age and younger. The role of the YPs involves the fostering of membership and growth of the Institute through service delivery to, and representation of, young spatial professionals.
