Gary Maguire – President

Gary is a GISP-AP and has worked in the spatial industry for over 25 years. This experience includes participation in major State Government projects and teaching GIS at the University of SA. Gary is currently employed by the Department for Families & Communities as the Manager of Business and Location Intelligence Services. He is currently leading a group of innovative staff that are delivering new and exciting integrated business solutions. The development of these applications will allow the organisation to share its corporate knowledge with other government agencies and partners while improving services to its customers. In 2008 Gary was awarded the ‘DFC Australia Day’ medal for leading innovation through the use of GIS technologies within the organization and was named the ‘South Australian Spatial Professional of the Year’. In 2011 he was awarded the ‘Service to the Spatial Community’ for his contribution to the profession in South Australia
