SPATIAL INFORMATION IN SA GOVERNMENT: STATE OF PLAY 2012
Location based information forms a critical piece of infrastructure for South Australia.
Information which allows us to answer the ‘big’ questions, the who, the when, and most importantly the where, about our natural resources, the way in which we manage land, and our human and health resources forms the basis for decision making by public and private sector business, and individual members of society.
In South Australia much of this information is administered and supplied by State Government, and managed by highly skilled professionals, represented by the Surveying and Spatial Sciences Institute professional body.
This seminar program provides an update of the State of Play for spatial information in South Australian Government, and gives an overview of the professional activities of SSSI, including the Professional Certification Program available to those working in the industry.
