Overview

The geodatabase is the common data storage and management framework for ArcGIS. It can be leveraged in desktop, server and mobile environments, and enables the storage of GIS data in a central location for easy access and management. This presentation will take you through the tools, strategies and tips that will help you optimise your geodatabase. Whether it is attribute indexing, configuration of key words or two or three tier connections, you will learn how to apply these techniques (and more!) to your organisation’s geodatabase. We will also discuss the improvements to the geodatabase that will be delivered through the release of ArcGIS 10.1 later in the year, including changes to administration and management of enterprise geodatabases, geodatabase schema management, and access to the geodatabase from outside of ArcGIS.
