NT Spatial WS–02: Extend your desktop GIS with Engage Productivity & 3D Tools

In this instructor led workshop participants will use selected functions and workflows with Engage and Engage3D Pro software, extensions to MapInfo Professional.

Part 1 of the workshop will introduce participants to Engage productivity tools. The enhanced set of layer, window, object, table, and data tools comprises a multitude of short-cuts and useful new functions which make complex and repetitive tasks easy to perform. Tasks including advanced object editing and topological maintenance, image processing, generation of map books, and interactive analytics will be covered.
Part 2 of the tutorial will focus on Engage 3D Pro raster tools for interactively interpolating point, line and region data from topographic and natural resource surveys. The 3D environment will be used to demonstrate real time 3D editing capability, terrain modelling functions and 3D geovisualisations such as wireframing and extrusion of 2D shapes into 3D models.
Participants will be able to take away the comprehensive tutorial workbook and sample dataset for future reference.
